It’s true when they say “There is no better time than now” and for Streetwear – it can’t be truer. With streetwear becoming more and more accepted by a wider audience, there are brands popping up all the time. So which ones should you choose?
Capsul is here to help make that choice easier. Here are some of the streetwear brands that are a must cop in 2023:
1.Pleasures:
With a name like that, it’s sure to make heads turn. With their controversial prints, thought provoking text and grunge vibe, Pleasures has become the hottest brand in Streetwear. Through their numerous collaborations with the likes of Playboy, Roland, Blink-182 and Outkast, Pleasures has developed a cult-like following, especially among music lovers.
The infusion of pop culture references in Pleasures and its effect on Pop culture is undeniable. For example, one of the most iconic tees of the last decade is the Pleasures A Girl Is A Gun, a tee with a strong message that made it to Playboi carti’s video for Magnolia and into every streetwear enthusiast’s wardrobe.

2.Almost Gods:
Currently one of the most sought after brands in the youth culture space in India,
Almost Gods managed to capture us with their unique silhouettes and strong graphics that dance on ideas from history and mythology.
“The pieces speak directly to a generation placed in the midst of a massive transition that has erased accepted meanings of what it is to be human and are in the process of forming new definitions.” All of this messaging and textures, on modern day statement pieces like resort shirts, oversized hoodies, Shackets, Mesh dresses, swimwear makes Almost Gods just what we are looking for today.

3.Huf Worldwide:
Modern day streetwear as we know it today owes a lot to Keith Hufnagel, founder of
HUF Worldwide. Keith has often been credited for bridging the gap between sneaker, skateboarding and fashion. 20 years later, HUF Worldwide continues to be that point of intersection for streetwear, art, skateboarding and sneakers.
For their 20 year anniversary celebration, HUF pulled out all the stops, dropping one banger collaboration after another. Some of them included fellow SF skate brand Thrasher, Nike, Haroshi, Marvel and more.

4.Billionaire Boys Club & Ice Cream:
No one does it like Pharell and Nigo. Geniuses in every sense of the word. Pharrell dropped Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream back in 2003 like it was hot and till date it’s still blazing. The brand took hip hop and luxury streetwear to another level.
Last year Nigo, founder of Bape and co-founder of Billionaire Boys Club, dropped his second studio album featuring some of the biggest names in Hip- Hop- A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, Lil Uzi Vert, Tyler The Creator and more. At the same time Billionaire Boys Club and Human Made dropped an “I Know Nigo” clothing collection. The drop was obviously a massive hit with hip hop lovers all around, reinforcing Billionaire Boys Club’s place in hip hop and streetwear legacy.
5.Carhartt WIP:
When you think Carhartt WIP the 2 words that come to mind are classic and functional.
With a legacy of 135 years, Carhartt has definitely made a name for itself as the brand with the most durable and comfortable clothing. And Carhartt WIP is the younger, streetwear version of the OG workwear Carhartt. Thanks to the gold era of Hip Hop, with artists like Tupac, Kanye West, Ice Cube rocking the workwear look with the Workwear jacket, garage shirts, denim overalls, Carhartt became synonymous with streetwear and style.
Pieces like the Carhartt Logo Beanie, Essential Bag, Pocket Tees, Ruck Single Knee Denims continues to be everyday favourites. But apart from their apparel, Carhartt WIP’s home decor pieces add an extra bit of drip to every room with their ceramics and plant holders.
